Jak już wspomnieliśmy wcześniej, stopa cukrzycowa jest jednym z najpoważniejszych powikłań cukrzycy, które może prowadzić do trwałego uszczerbku na zdrowiu, a nawet amputacji. Mając to na uwadze, warto podkreślić – zrozumienie procesu, przez który rozwija się stopa cukrzycowa, jest fundamentalne dla jej zapobiegania. Czynniki zwiększające ryzyko powstania stopy cukrzycowej to:
- źle dobrane obuwie,
- suchość skóry spowodowana neuropatią autonomiczną,
- przewlekła hiperglikemia, czy też zaburzenia widzenia.
Zespół stopy cukrzycowej – pierwsze objawy

Leczenie stopy cukrzycowej

Stopa cukrzycowa jest poważnym zagrożeniem, ale poprzez odpowiednią edukację, wczesną interwencję i ścisłą kontrolę poziomu cukru we krwi, ryzyko jej rozwoju może być znacznie zmniejszone.
